Baitadi–Seven local levels of the district have been without ambulances. Even the road networks have yet to be reached to all local levels of the district.
The local governments here did not arrange ambulance in lack of road facilities. Local levels lacking ambulances are Melauli Municipality, Pancheswor Rural Municipality, Shivanath Rural Municipality, Domdakedar Rural Municipality, Dilashaini Rural Municipality, Sigas Rural Municipality and Surnaya Rural Municipality.
However, Melauli Municipality has already purchased an ambulance and it would reach the municipality office in a couple of days, shared municipality mayor Krishna Singh Nayak.
Likewise, Surnaya Rural Municipality also has announced bid for ambulance procurement. Chairperson Bir Bahadur Bista shared that ambulance service would be available from the rural municipality soon.
Dogadakedar Rural Municipality also has decided to request Provincial Government for providing an ambulance, informed Rural Municipality Chair Chakra Karki.
Similarly, Shivanath Rural Municipality also has requested the province government for ambulance.
Pancheswor Rural Municipality is also making necessary preparation for purchasing ambulance, said Spokesperson Dasharath Mangola.
In lack of ambulance services, the locals are compelled to take the patients to health facilities and hospitals on their own. ---
