Truck Driver Arrested with 775 kg of Marijuana in Dhankuta

Dhankuta. A truck driver has been arrested with approximately 775 kg of marijuana in Dhankuta. Police arrested 33-year-old Parikshan Kunwar, a resident of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-1 Aampgachhi in Sunsari, originally from Sanné, Pakribas Municipality-1, from Kolbote of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-6 in the district, on Monday morning with approximately 775 kilograms of marijuana.

Police deployed from the Inaruwa Area Police Office arrested Kunwar while checking the mini-truck with registration number Ko.1.Kha.4635, which was going from Dhankuta to Dharan.

Police said that the said quantity of marijuana was found in 25 bundles packed in plastic with white tape inside the truck's dumper and driver Parikshan was arrested. Police have stated that necessary investigation is underway in this regard.
