Biratnagar to get slaughterhouse in two years

Biratnagar  – A well-equipped slaughterhouse will be constructed in Biratnagar Metropolitan City within two years, said the metropolis mayor Bhim Parajuli. Rs 12 million has been set aside in the current fiscal year (2075/76) for the building of a slaughterhouse in the Metrpolis-8, he informed at a programme here. 

On the occasion, Tirthraj Regmi, programme director of the Heifer International Nepal, stressed the need for constructing a well-equipped slaughterhouse to supply healthy and quality meat. The event was apprised of the supply and demand for meat in Province 1.
