MP Hama Demands PM Shah Retract Border Remarks

Kathmandu. CPN MP Parmesh Hamal has said that Prime Minister Balendra Shah should withdraw the statement given regarding the border. Opposition MPs stood up and protested the Prime Minister's statement as soon as the House of Representatives meeting began on Tuesday. 

After the opposition MPs protested, Speaker DP Aryal gave CPN MP Hamal time to speak. 

After the Speaker gave him time, Hamal said that their protest against the Prime Minister's statement remains and demanded that the Speaker make a ruling to the Prime Minister for a response regarding the statement. He also demanded that the Prime Minister's statement be removed from the record. 

Similarly, he questioned whether Lipulek was discussed during the Foreign Minister's visit to China. He also said that the government should resolve issues such as the Indian army helicopter flying without permission in Darchula and the closure of Nepali tea industries through diplomatic channels. Another MP, Tukabhadra Hamal, also demanded a response in the parliament regarding the Prime Minister's controversial statement.
