Sanibheri first full immunisation Rural Municipality in Karnali Province

Rukum – The Sanibheri Rural Municipality in West Rukum has been declared the first local level in the entire Karnali Province where full immunisation has been guaranteed.
The Rural Municipality was declared the full immunization local-unit amidst a formal programme here Saturday. On the occasion, District Coordination Committee Chief Raj Kumar Sharma congratulated one and all who contributed to achieving the identity of the first fully immunized zone for the Rural Municipality, underlining the need of retaining this status.
A large number of children die every year due to the deprivations of immunisation in the country and the rural municipality achieving the identity of the zone guaranteed with full immunisation has itself sent a positive message to others.
In this Rural Municipality, children below 24 months are found administered a full course of immunization as per a schedule. At the programme, presided over by Rural Municipality Chief Nar Bahadur Pun, local health workers, women health volunteers and organisations were also honoured.
