NC rolls into national enrolment campaign

Damak – At a time of a national campaign which is seeing children of school – going age getting enrolment in schools, Nepali Congress in Damak has taken a decision on sponsoring the study of 10 students up to the higher secondary level. 

NC Damak Town Committee will be taking the initiative in getting a child each from 10 wards admitted to the schools as part of the campaign. 

Town President Roshan Bista said the educational programme was being undertaken by targeting the children from economically backward class. The party has stated that the programme will start from this year's academic session and that it will bear all the cost for the students' education. 

Bista shared that an arrangement has been made to funnel the necessary budget from the party's trust for the purpose. He went on further that the children will be admitted to the schools they want to study in on the basis of the recommendations sent from the wards.
