KMC constitutes Education Committee

Kathmandu – An education committee has been formed under the Chair of Kathmandu Metropolitan City mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya. 
Metropolitan City's information officer Basanta Acharya shared that the committee was formed to monitor, regulate and direct the schools in the metropolitan city as local levels have the responsibility of regulating the schools as per new provision after the state adopted federal setup. 

Members at the committee are deputy mayor Hariprabha Khadgi and other 11 KMC Ward Chairs. The committee will make all kinds of policy level decisions and will prepare the guidelines as well. 

The first meeting of the committee has decided to provide scholarship from the respective Ward offices.
