Man dies after altercation in Dhading, suspect arrested

Kathmandu, January 10 — A man has died after being injured in a physical altercation between two groups over a minor dispute in Jharlang, located in the Khaniyabas Rural Municipality-1 of Dhading.

The incident took place on December 30, and 45-year-old Rambahadur Tamang, who was injured during the scuffle, passed away while undergoing treatment at Manamohan Hospital in Swayambhu.

Police have arrested 24-year-old Nation Tamang from Jharlang on suspicion of involvement in the murder.

DSP Subas Hamal of Dhading Police Office confirmed that an investigation is underway on charges related to the murder.

The altercation occurred after the two groups had been drinking alcohol together, leading to the fight.

Injured Rambahadur was brought to Kathmandu via Dhadingbensi for treatment. Two other individuals involved in the assault remain at large.
