PM's remark on constitutional amendment against NC-UML agreement: Saud
Kathmandu, January 9 — Nepali Congress leader N.P. Saud has criticized Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s recent remarks on constitutional amendment, stating that they go against the agreement made between the coalition partners.
Speaking at an interaction event organized by the Nepali Congress in Bardiya, Saud, who is also a former foreign minister, expressed concerns about the government's stance on constitutional issues.
Saud explained that when the coalition was formed, there was a consensus to amend the constitution to address its weaknesses, and the commitment to do so was made. However, he pointed out that PM Oli's recent statement regarding the constitutional amendment contradicted the terms of the coalition agreement.
Saud emphasized that the Prime Minister’s comments raised questions about the coalition's legitimacy and relevance.
