International Balloon Festival tees off in Pokhara (photos)

Pokhara, December 24 —The International Balloon Festival has started today in the tourist city of Pokhara.

The first edition of the festival, which will run for nine days, saw nearly 13 balloons take to the skies over Pokhara today.

The festival features representatives from various countries, including the United States, Spain, Lithuania, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Every evening, there will be fireworks displays, balloon races, and camping activities as part of the celebrations.

The organizers believe that this festival will not only attract domestic tourists but also draw foreign visitors, contributing to Nepal's economy.
