Kathmandu, December 22 — The government has decided to present two bills in Parliament, which aim to separate the roles of the air service provider and the regulatory body.
On Sunday, while announcing the decision made by the Cabinet meeting on December 19, government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung announced the decision to present the bill related to the establishment and regulation of the Nepal Air Service Authority and the bill aimed at amending and integrating laws related to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) in the federal Parliament.
The meeting also approved the revised work details of the Prime Minister’s Office and decided to appoint Shriram Subedi as the chairman of the Kanti Children's Hospital Development Committee.
Additionally, the Cabinet gave approval to the Securities Board of Nepal to create regulations for the issuance and trading of securities for small and medium-sized organizations.
Spokesperson Gurung explained that due to various economic and other challenges in the country, the major parties had to come together to form a stable government.
He mentioned that the government's focus is on ending political instability and on the nation's prosperity and development.
Gurung also noted that some people are dissatisfied with the current government and are trying to spread confusion. However, he stated that the government would not collapse under any circumstances.
He expressed the belief that two parties would form the government until 2027, after which the major parties would compete against each other in the general elections.
