Former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana passes away
Kathmandu, November 17 — Former Speaker of the Parliament, Damannath Dhungana, has passed away.
According to Gopal Krishna Ghimire, the President of the Nepal Bar Association, Dhungana was admitted to the Front Line Hospital after facing health issues.
He was also a well-known figure in the legal profession and had made a significant name for himself in the field.
In recent times, he had been suffering from various health problems.
Damannath Dhungana, a senior lawyer, served as the Speaker of the Parliament from 1991 to 1994. He also played a key role in bringing the then-rebel Maoists into the peace process.
