Industry Minister Yadav sees need of promoting domestic products

Kathmandu - Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Matrika Prasad Yadav, has stressed the need of promoting domestic products to see development in the country. 
In his address to the 24th AGM of Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries and 21st National Women Industrialists' Conference here today, he said development of the nation was the main agenda and priority of the incumbent government. 
He urged private sector to come up with a proposal suggesting the government aboutwhat sorts of support it had expected from the government. According to him, the government wishes to move ahead working hand in hand with all to bring a wave of development to the country. 


Federation chair Shyam Prasad demanded the government's prompt willingness and support to promote small and cottage industries. He was of the view that the government should accord its priority to the maximum utilisation of agriculture, forest products, mineral and tourism and hydropower sectors. 
According to Federation General Secretary Dambar Prasad Regmi, the conference would focus on discussions on better ways to empower women through the means of their participation in cottage and small industries .
