Postponed Socialist Front message meeting to be held Tuesday

KATHMANDU, Sep 11: The message meeting of the Socialist Front, under the Far-West Province, is scheduled to be held tomorrow on Tuesday.

The meeting was scheduled to be held on August 31 but was postponed indefinitely after a dispute arose between the constituent parties of the Front regarding the implementation of the MCC agreement.

The Socialist Front was formed on June 19 by 4 parties, including the CPN-Maoist Centre, CPN-Unified Socialists, JSP and the Biplav-led CPN, with the goal of establishing the basis of a socialist system.

The Front has been holding message meetings in various provinces after it made a policy to expand its organisations to the district level. It is set to hold a meeting in the Dhangadi district, CPN leader Anil Sharma informed.

"We have decided to hold the message meeting, that was postponed, in Dhangadi on the 12th [September]", he said, "Then a meeting will be between the four parties and the programs will be announced."
