Investigation report against Rabi Lamichhane set to be submitted Monday

Kathmandu, December 15 — Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) president Rabi Lamichhane has been in police custody in Kaski since October 18, under investigation for money laundering, cooperative fraud, and organized crime.

According to a senior Nepal Police official, the investigation report against him is set to be submitted to the government's attorney office on Monday.

Kaski's Superintendent of Police, Shyam Babu Oliya, confirmed that the investigation team is working on the report.

The authorities are preparing to file charges against Lamichhane, including property laundering, fraud, and forgery.

A parliamentary special inquiry committee has also concluded that Lamichhane misappropriated funds from the Surydarshan Cooperative and invested them in the Gorkha Media Network Pvt. Ltd.
