Case of Citizenship Bill authentication in joint bench of Justice Bhattarai and Regmi

KATHMANDU, June 22: The case against the Citizenship Bill authentication has been scheduled for hearing today first before any other cases. The case will be heard first by the joint bench of Justices Anand Mohan Bhattarai and Kumar Regmi.

Earlier, a short-term interim order was issued in the writ filed by senior advocates Surendra Bhandari and Balkrishna Neupane on the 2nd of June. President Ramchandra Paudel had approved the Citizenship Bill, 2079 on May 31 to amend the Citizenship Bill, 2063, which had been passed by the previous federal parliament.
