Fake Bhutanese refugee case: Testimony of 3 defendants begins at District Court

KATHMANDU, May 30: The testimony of 3 defendants of the fake Bhutanese refugee case has begun at the Kathmandu District Court. The 3 giving the testimony are Sandesh Sharma, Indrajeet Rai and Narendra KC. The testimony is being taken by the bench of Justice Prem Prasad Neupane.

Earlier, the testimony of Keshab Prasad Dulal, Sagar Rai, Sandeep Rayamajhi, Laxmi Maharjan and Tanka Kumar Gurung had been taken.

Sandesh Sharma, Indrajeet Rai and Narendra KC are giving their testimony today, on Tuesday. Among them, the preparation for taking Rai's testimony was made for Sunday, but he did not give his statement showing different reasons, so he has been taken to court for the testimony today.

The testimony of the accused began on May 26 at the Kathmandu District Court. Among the 30 defendants in the case, 17 have been arrested while 13 are still absconding.
