Fake Bhutanese refugee case: Testimony of 3 defendants end

Testimony of Laxmi Maharjan, Tanka Kumar Gurung and Sandeep Rayamajhi taken

KATHMANDU, May 28: The testimony of three defendants has ended at Kathmandu District Court. The testimony of the three was taken by the bench of Justice Prem Prasad Neupane. The three defendants who are accused of being involved in the fraudulent business of making Nepalese into Bhutanese refugees are Laxmi Maharjan, Tanka Kumar Gurung and Sandeep Rayamajhi.

Among the three whose testimony has been taken, Laxmi Maharjan's testimony was taken today after one of the main accused, Indrajeet Rai was reluctant to give his statement claiming to be ill. Now the testimony of Rai will be taken only on Tuesday.

Earlier, the testimony of Sagar Rai and Keshab Dulal was taken on Friday. 17 people have been arrested in the case so far.
