President Paudel announces to bear treatment costs in India himself

KATHMANDU, May 2: President Ramchandra Paudel has announced that he will bear the expenses incurred during the treatment in India. After criticism that the President was being treated on government funds, President Paudel announced that he would be treated at his own expense.

The press coordinator Khila Karki issued a press release where it is stated that the President wants to bear all the expenses incurred during the treatment.

President Paudel was treated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, India through the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

President Paudel returned home on Sunday night after undergoing treatment for 11 days. Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa also gave an emphasis that government funds should not be spent on the President's treatment.
