Two dozen injured in Janakpur bus accident

Janakpur, March 14 — A bus accident in Janakpur has left nearly two dozen passengers injured.

The incident occurred on Friday when a passenger bus, with registration number NA 5 Kha 1441, traveling from Janakpurdham to Lahan in Siraha, crashed at the Maltol Chowk in Dhanushadham Municipality, injuring more than 20 passengers.

According to Inspector Jatashankar Yadav of Dhalkewar Police, the accident happened while the bus was attempting to stop at a bus station.

Police suspect that the bus's brakes failed, leading to the crash.

There were approximately 30-35 passengers aboard the bus at the time of the accident.

The injured passengers were transported to various hospitals for treatment via six ambulances and a police van.

Janakpur Police has stated that they are gathering further details regarding the condition of the injured.
