HoR by-election: 69 candidates vying for the post

KATHMANDU, April 4 - The upcoming by-election of the House of Representatives (HoR) in Bara, Tanahun and Chitwan has seen a huge number of candidates vying for the post, with 69 individuals submitting their candidacy. According to the Election Commission, 33 of these candidates are representing political parties, while 36 are running as independent candidates.

The highest number of candidates, 36, have filed their candidacy in Bara-2 constituency, followed by Chitwan-2 and Tanahun-1 with 24 and nine candidates, respectively. Surya Prasad Aryal, assistant spokesperson at the Commission, confirmed the numbers.
