After 14-year hiatus, free students union elections commence in TU campuses today

KATHMANDU, March 19: Tribhuvan University (TU) is conducting the Free Students Union (FSU) election in its constituent and affiliated campuses, including the Central Campus, for the first time in 14 years.

The polls open at 8:00 am and will conclude at 4:00 pm.

The TU authorities have stated that the FSU election will take place in 60 constituent campuses and 1,040 affiliated campuses throughout the country.

While the FSU leadership has been elected unopposed in two constituent campuses and some affiliated campuses, the majority of the positions are being contested. The FSU election, which takes place every two years, had not occurred in TU campuses since 2065 BS.
