Home Ministry transfers CDOs of Dhading and Kavre

Kathmandu, September 30 — The Home Ministry has summoned the Chief District Officers of Dhading and Kavre to its office.

According to Rishiram Tiwari, the Ministry’s Deputy Secretary and Spokesperson, Chief District Officer Rajendra Dev Pandey from Dhading and Chief District Officer Surya Prasad Sedai from Kavre have been transferred.

The ministry has appointed Suman Ghimire in place of Pandey in Dhading and Umesh Dhakal in place of Sedai in Kavre.

Spokesperson Tiwari claimed that the transfers of both Chief District Officers are regular. Following continuous rainfall starting from September 26, there was damage to life and property in both Kavre and Dhading. Their transfers are said to be due to an alleged failure to coordinate among agencies and insufficient responses during crises.
