Bhandari appointed RSS Board Member

Bhagawan Bhandari has been appointed to the vacant post of Member of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Board of Directors. Bhandari has two and half decades of experience as a journalist.

Bhandari is a resident of Darlamdanda, Baganaskali Rural Municipality-5, Palpa district. He has been appointed to the post in accordance with the Clause 8 (1) (Kha) of RSS Act, 2019 and as per the decision on February 22 of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. He received his appointment letter from the Ministry on Sunday. 

Bhandari, who was into journalism since 2051BS, is currently the Chief Editor of the Palpa Samacharpatra weekly vernacular newspaper and palpasamachar.com online news portal.

He is the former president of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Palpa and the central member of the Press Organisation Nepal. Bhandari is also the Palpa district president of the Human Rights Alliance and the coordinator of the district-level Human Rights Network.

Previously, he also worked as the district correspondent for Radio Nepal and the founder news chief at Radio Madanpokhara.

A recipient of the 'Janasewa Shree (Fifth) Medal, Bhandari has also taken training from Nepal Press Institute and various other organisations.
