Free meal for destitute in Inaruwa

Inaruwa–A campaign of offering free meal to the needy has been started in Inaruwa as well just when a wave of offering low-cost meal has begun in various places of State 1.

Accordingly, free meal is provided at Bus Chowk of Inaruwa-4. It is run through the joint organization of the Inaruwa denizens. The locals of Inaruwa begun this service from Wednesday.

A 10-member committee has also been formed under the coordination of Satya Yadav for managing free meal. The committee comprises local philanthropists. This programme of offering free meal to the destitute has been initiated at a cost of Rs 100 thousand initially.

This campaign of providing free meal is targeted to the poor, helpless, underprivileged people who are homeless and nobody to look after them, Yadav said. According to him, they had started the service only for three days originally but are now encouraged to extend it as the number of donors has been increasing. The organizers said one can get to eat rice, pulse, pickle and papad for free. Water is also distributed free as part of the free meal programme. Chairperson of Inaruwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Birendra Kumar Sah inaugurated the programme in Inaruwa.

A campaign to feed meal at Rs 10 was started at Biratnagar of Morang few days ago. Tirupati Catering Service started to feed meal at Rs 10 from Kalika temple located at Biratnagar bazaar.

The campaign began from Biratnagar has now been taking place at most of the places of state-1. An arrangement has been made where a person has to pay Rs 10 for meal and he/she has to pay Rs 20 if he/she wants to take meal for family.

Similarly, a campaign has begun at Gorkha Department Store located at main Chowk of Damak to provide meal at Rs 5. The campaign to provide meal free of cost has begun in Inaruwa at a time when a campaign to feed meal at Rs 10 as well as at Rs 5.
