Hetauda–Two people were killed and as many were injured in separate road accidents occurred last night in Hetauda and Makawanpurgadhi of Makawanpur district.
Thirty four-year-old Deepak Pakhrin of Makawanpurgadhi rural municipality-4 died on the spot when the tipper (Ba 4 Kha 6355) hit him near Makranchuli. The tipper was heading towards Makawanpurgadhi from Hetauda at the time of the accident, the District Police Office said. The tipper driver is absconding after the accident while the tipper has been imponded by police.
Similarly, a woman died after motorcycle knocked her down at Pashupatinagar of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-9 last night. The name and address of the deceased is not ascertained, police said. The motorcycle (Na 42 Pa 7506) that hit the woman was on its way towards Getauda from Bara.
The motorcycle driver and a woman who was pillion riding have been injured in the incident. Motorcycle driver, 30-year-old Kanchan Thakur of Parsagadhi is in serious condition. He has been referred to Bharatpur Hospital from Churehill Hospital for advanced treatment. The pillion rider, 35-year-old Sharmila Thapa Magar of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10, is slightly injured.
