Civil servants at local level within a week, Minister Basnet vows

Dang - Minister for General Administration Tek Bahadur Basnet has said that the civil personnel would be managed in all local levels within a week. 

At an interaction programme organized by Reporters' Club in Dang Sunday, Minister Basnet said that the people were not getting services for lack of officials despite having local elections. 

He said, "We have taken the services from Singhadubar in the villages itself. The government is working to promptly deliver the service to the people." 

He however admitted that management of the employees was problematic while switching to federal structure from the unitary form of governance. 

Strong action would be taken if the government officials didn’t reach the assigned duty stations. "The civil employees should go to the deputed place otherwise there is no alternative to their farewell," he asserted.
