Kathmandu–It is a great pleasure to have this Press Meet just a couple of days prior to the kick-off the 3rd edition of Nepal’s premier international travel and tourism trade show, the Himalayan Travel Mart which is being held from June 6-9, 2019 at Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Kathmandu, Nepal. 

Pursuant to the grand success of the first two editions of Himalayan Travel Mart, PATA Nepal Chapter in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Tourism Board, PATA Headquarter, Nepal Airlines and the other prominent Tourism Organizations of Nepal is all set for organizing the Himalayan Travel Mart 2019. 

With the theme and vision to establish Nepal as “Gateway to the Himalayas”, HTM has created an unparalleled platform not only for the Himalayan Tourism Industry but also for the global tourism fraternity, who have set their eyes and value the importance of this unique event. Our priority and focus on HTM this year is to add value to all the stakeholders in terms of insightful conference, nation's tourism promotion, networking and mutually fruitful business opportunities between the registered sellers and hosted buyers.

About 700 Delegates from 43 countries are taking part at the 3rd Himalayan Travel Mart including 140+ international and national guests and delegates. 

HTM 2019 comprises of :

       Influencer - May 25th – June 05th, 2019.
2)    Himalayan Travel Mart Conference - June 07th, 2019
3)    International Travel Bloggers and Media Conference (ITBMC) - June 8th, 2019
4)    Buyers and Sellers Meet (Business to Business Sessions) - June 08th and 09th, 2019

1)    All Hosted Buyers along with ITMBC delegates have been facilitated with Pre-mart familiarization trips to different touristic destinations in Nepal. 


2)    Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM) Conference :
The HTM 2019 Conference being held under the theme “The Spirit of the Himalayas” which will be a new way forward unveiling new programs, products and uncovering hidden treasures with new potentials for the Himalayan Nations with Nepal at the helm of this promotional endeavor. The conference shall witness about 20+ World Class High-Value Speakers/ Industry Thought Leaders, Spiritual Leaders, Mystics, Religious Gurus, Influencers and International Tourism Experts who will discuss and provide unparalleled insights on the various subjects including Spiritual Tourism,  Adventure Travel Trends, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism, Digital Transformation and New Trends in Tourism, Travel Media Trends and latest opportunities, etc. 

3)    International Travel Bloggers & Media Conference (ITBMC) :
International Travel Bloggers and Media Conference (ITBMC) is one the event alongside Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM) to promote Nepal as the most promising tourism destination, bringing together the professional international Travel Bloggers, International Media, Travel Photographers and a dynamic lineup of National and International thought leaders from across the world to observe, share and promote the beauty of Nepal. ITBMC particularly aims to:
•    Promote Nepal as a Year-Round destination.
•    Enrich the Nepalese tourism featured contents on Search engines and/or Social Media Platforms.
•    Educate the Industry on the importance of Blogging, Content Writing, and Art of Storytelling through the knowledge and expertise shared by Influencers and Thought Leaders in the field of blogging and media.
•    Share and discuss the new ideas, latest trends, and contemporary practices in Digital Marketing, Branding, Business promotion and different dynamics of marketing and development of travel and tourism.

This year, we are planning to organize an International Media Briefing Session for Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign during ITBMC amongst the hundreds of national and international media and bloggers/ influencers which we believe to be one of the best platforms for promoting Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 campaign. We have invited 38 International Travel Bloggers, Influencers and Media delegates as a part of International Travel Bloggers and Media Conference. 

4)    Buyers & Sellers Meet (Business Sessions) : 
This year, the B2B mart will witness the participation of 58 Buyer Organizations from 30 different countries from the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and CIS countries, Asia and the Gulf Region; and 54 Seller Organizations or, Exhibitors from 6 different countries including Nepal, India, Bhutan, Pakistan, Tibet (China) and Thailand.  We believe that the B2B mart of HTM is a truly unique platform for our Hosted Buyers and Registered Sellers to explore, establish, strengthen or expand their business partnerships and networking opportunities.

The Official Hotel and Event Venue Partner for HTM2019 is Soaltee Crowne Plaza, and a few esteemed Airlines including Qatar Airways, Air Arabia, Himalaya Airlines and Druk Air are also supporting with some complimentary and Special Airfares for the delegates. We equally remember the invaluable support of domestic airlines (Buddha Air and Yeti Airlines).
