Eye hospital comes into operation in Thaha municipality

Hetauda– A community eye hospital has come into operation at Thaha municipality-3 in Makawanpur. 
The hospital has been brought into operation in coordination with Community Eye Centre, Nepal Eye Programme and Tilganga Eye Foundation. 


The eye centre has helped increase people's access to eye treatment in the northern belt of Makawanpur. 
Lawaser Bista, mayor of Thaha municipality, informed that centre's building was constructed after the municipality arranged two ropanies and 14 aana land as per the agreement with Tilganga Eye Hospital and Foundation. 


In order to operate eye service, the municipality has constructed a four-room building at the cost of Rs 4 million.
Meanwhile, the monkey rampage has panicked the locals much at Gadhi rural municipality in Makawanpur. The locals are living a very tough time due to rampage of wild beast. The monkeys coming from nearby forest have eaten up seasonal crops in the field and also destroyed goods and utensils at home. 


Owing to rising rampage of wild animals, the residents of Sukaura and Budhichaur have started descending to plain areas in search for safer areas. ---
