One killed, two missing after landslide sweeps away two houses

Charikot (Dolakha) - A person has been killed and three others are reported missing in a landslide which struck last night at Kutkute area of Lakuridanda in Bhimeshwor Municipality – 9. 

The deceased has been identified as 35 – year – old Shanti Thami. Two houses were swept away by the landslide at 1:30 am. 

Shanti's 12 – year – old daughter, Roshani, and 10 – year – old, Santoshi, have gone missing, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rameshwor Karki of District Police Office. 

A police team has left for the incident site to search for the missing persons. Meanwhile, incessant downpour has obstructed vehicular movement along the Lamosanghu – Jiri route.
