One more killed due to flood in Jhapa
Baniyani (Jhapa) - One more person died due to flood in Jhapa district.
Nima Tamang, 17, of Shivasatakshi Municipality-7 died after being swept away by the Kankai River. According to the Nepal Red Cross Society, Jhapa, with this, the number of people killed due to flood in the district has reached 12.
According to the Office, four persons, who had gone missing in the flood, have not come into contact yet.
As per the recent details provided by the Red Cross, Jhapa, 2,524 families have been affected and 2,444 families displaced due to the flood in the district. A total of 121 houses suffered complete damage.
Avishekh Pokharel of the Red Cross, Jhapa, said that the Red Cross Society had provided tarpaulins, blankets, mosquito nets and utensils to the flood victims.
