CPN-UML Leader Thakur Gaire Questions Nepal's Diplomatic Operations and Government Role

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) leader Thakur Gaire has raised questions about Nepal's current diplomatic operations and the government's role. 

Expressing his views on social media Facebook, he expressed concern about the country's diplomatic situation and the confusion of state bodies.

Commenting on the current state of Nepal's diplomacy, leader Gaire wrote, 'Nepal's diplomacy today! What are the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister's Office doing? The Foreign Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs seem to be unaware.' Expressing dissatisfaction with the government's working style, he claimed that the ruling party itself seems unaware of the government's activities.

Indicating the confusion of the parliament and citizens, he further wrote, 'Parliament, official state bodies, and the general public all seem to be in confusion, like a paper lost in the fog.'

Raising questions about whose signals the country's foreign policy and diplomacy are running on, Gaire added, 'A serious question has arisen, who is running Nepal's diplomacy? The government, the ministry, or some other invisible force?'
