CJP Agrees to Talks with Indian Government, Demands Education Minister's Resignation

New Delhi. The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has stated that the Indian government is ready to hold talks at the Constitution Club on Friday. Although they have agreed to hold talks, they have maintained their old demands, including the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Saurabh Das of CJP said that the government has accepted their demand for talks to be held in a neutral location. He said, 'A meeting has been called for talks. We are very happy that the government has agreed to our demand for the meeting to be held in a neutral place. The Constitution Club of India has been chosen for this.'

CJP has been staging a protest at Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak case. They are demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and extensive reforms in the education sector. Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement to bring strict laws against exam malpractice, CJP said that removing the Education Minister from office would be the 'strictest action' from the government's side.

Meanwhile, activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended his indefinite hunger strike after receiving assurances from the government to fulfill his demands. He announced the end of his fast on Thursday midnight after meeting with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

Providing information about the preparations for the talks, Saurabh Das said, 'Ashutosh and I have been called to meet JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh at 12:45 PM. After the first round of discussions, we had put forward two demands. Yesterday, we received confirmation that the meeting would be held at the Constitution Club.'

Das questioned those who allege foreign funding for the movement, saying, 'If the narrative is being spread that we are receiving foreign funding, then why is the government talking to Sonam Wangchuk and us?' Speaking about the public interest litigation filed against the movement and the demand for NIA investigation, he added, 'We appeal to the country's judges that their orders should not be influenced by political reasons or used as a weapon. We urge the judges to stand on the right side of history and support the future of the country's youth who have taken to the streets.'

Security Tight in Delhi, 17 Metro Stations Closed
In view of the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar and the security arrangements, 17 Delhi Metro stations were closed on Friday. Due to the restriction on vehicle movement and metro closure, many schools in Central Delhi have changed their teaching methods. Some schools have arranged for hybrid learning for junior classes, while some have started classes with new transportation arrangements.

A large number of security forces have been deployed around Jantar Mantar. Barricades have been erected in Central Delhi, and vehicles are being diverted through alternative routes. Similarly, the police have identified and are investigating individuals involved in the violence, attack on security personnel, and vandalism of public property that occurred on July 20.
