Kathmandu Valley Experiences Clearing Skies After Continuous Rainfall

Kathmandu. Nepal is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. Due to this, it had been raining continuously for the past few days, including in the Kathmandu Valley and across the country. The weather in Kathmandu has cleared since Wednesday morning compared to previous days.

Continuous rainfall had disrupted the daily lives of Kathmandu residents. Some parts of the valley were submerged, and roads had caved in at some places.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is still a possibility of rain due to the influence of monsoon winds. The department's bulletin states that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms in Kathmandu Valley and across the country for the next three days.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in many places in the hilly and Tarai regions of the country. For the next three days, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

The department has requested to be cautious and take precautions against risks and damages such as debris flow, floods, landslides, and soil erosion that may occur in those areas.

After the rain stopped, the city of Kathmandu appeared beautiful and clean from Jagdol, Halchowk, and White Gumba areas.
