Seti River Blocked by Landslide in Pokhara

Pokhara. Continuous rain has caused a landslide that has blocked the Seti River in Pokhara. The river has been blocked by a landslide that occurred after the river eroded at Ratopairo, on the border of Pokhara Metropolitan City-15 and 17.

After the news of the landslide, a team including Kaski Chief District Officer Kuman Singh Gurung, Chief of District Police Office Kaski SP Naveen Karki, and Deputy Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City Manjudevi Gurung reached the site for inspection on Sunday morning.

Due to the blockage by the landslide, the water has not been able to drain completely. The water level has risen by about 50 meters above the blockage, Deputy Mayor Gurung said. Photo: Nepal Photo Library
