Weather Forecast: Monsoon Influence Across Nepal with Moderate to Heavy Rainfall Expected

Kathmandu. The monsoon wind's influence is currently prevailing across the country. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the low-pressure line of the monsoon has now shifted slightly above its average position, near the Terai region of Nepal. Due to this, the weather across the country has become cloudy.

Currently, most areas across the country are experiencing cloudy skies. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in some parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces. The Department has also stated that rain is occurring in one or two places in Madhesh and Sudurpaschim provinces.

On Monday, most of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are expected to be cloudy. Generally cloudy skies are predicted for Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Regarding rain and snowfall, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning in many places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Similar weather patterns are expected in a few places in the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
