Public Accounts Committee Meeting Called on Passport Printing Irregularities

Kathmandu. A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives has been called to discuss the irregularities seen in the passport printing case. Committee Chairman Bharat Bahadur Khadka informed that the meeting has been called for 9 am on Tuesday to discuss the passport printing case.

He told Ratopati that officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Passports have been called to the meeting to get information about passport printing. 

There is a dispute of approximately 10 billion 13 crore rupees in the passport purchase process. Khadka said after the meeting that the meeting has been called for discussion as this issue was raised in the committee and complaints have also been filed. 

The issue of corruption and irregularities in the passport printing process was raised in the committee meeting held on Asar 23.
