Man Dies After Self-Immolation Attempt Outside Passport Department

Kathmandu. The body of Ganesh Nepali of Mugu, who lost his life after attempting self-immolation in front of the Department of Passports in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, has been taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem. Police informed that the body was taken to the Teaching Hospital for post-mortem on Thursday night itself.

Nepali, a youth from Mugu's Soru Rural Municipality-1, who was making a living for his family through ride-sharing in Kathmandu, set himself on fire due to the stress that arose while the Metropolitan Police were 'wheel locking'.

He was taken to Bir Hospital for treatment, where he passed away on Friday morning during treatment.
