Six Drivers Arrested for Drug Use During Traffic Check in Baglung

Baglung. Six drivers have been taken under control for driving under the influence of drugs during a joint vehicle check conducted on the Mid-Hill Highway at Maldhunga in Baglung Municipality-1.

During the vehicle inspection by a joint checking team including Chief District Officer Krishnaprasad Acharya, Chief of District Police Office Baglung Police Superintendent Phanindra Prasai, and Chief of District Traffic Police Office Baglung Senior Police Sub-Inspector Minbahadur Kunwar, it was confirmed that six drivers had consumed drugs when tested.

Those arrested include 32-year-old Prembahadur Darji of Parbat Jaljala Rural Municipality-4, 35-year-old Uttam Nepali of Parbat Kushma Municipality-10, 45-year-old Rajan Lamichhane of Parbat Kushma Municipality-9, 22-year-old Dipesh Gharti Chhetri of Baglung Municipality-1, 20-year-old Deepak Thapa, a resident of Baglung-3 originally from Baglung Municipality-11, and 23-year-old Ashish Shah, a resident of Baglung-1 Ramrekha, originally from Mahottari Janakpur Municipality-8.

They have been brought to the District Police Office Baglung for necessary action. The concerned vehicles have been fined according to regulations and handed over to their owners.
