Film 'Asha' Announced with Honor for Veteran Technicians

Kathmandu. Film 'Asha' is going to be made. The film was announced at a program organized in Kathmandu on Thursday. At the program, where veteran technicians were honored, the film's subject matter, cast, and technicians were introduced. The film, produced by Udayan Studio, has Sharmila Thapa as the producer. Rajiv Gurung will direct the film.

The film will feature actors Mahesh Tripathi, Anjana Baraili, Sushil Sitoula, Sushank Mainali, Ashant Sharma, Kenipa Singh, Kabita Regmi, and others.

At the program, the film's producer Sharmila Thapa informed that the story of a family is being brought to the screen. 'We don't have time to spend with family these days. But, when that family is incomplete, the importance of the missing member is reflected and felt,' said Thapa.

Actor Tripathi said that he joined the team because the film's subject attracted him. 'Its story is different from those being made; an actor is always tempted by a good story, so I have joined this. This film will give us something along with the entertainment it provides as a film,' said Tripathi.

Veteran technicians were honored with cash prizes at the film. Technician Kamal Mishra, who worked in costume for the film 'Anyay' released in 2046 BS, was honored with a cash prize of 51 thousand and a shawl by the film's producer Thapa, director Gurung, and Film Development Board Chairman Dinesh DC.

The film's associate writer is Ramkumar Shrestha, script supervisor and casting director is Sudam Sike, cinematographer is Narendra Mainali, music directors are Yug Bhusal and Sameer Kharel, and distributor is Karan Shrestha (Reach Entertainment).
