Shobha Gautam Announces Candidacy for Pokhara Chamber of Commerce President

Pokhara. Current General Secretary Shobha Gautam has announced her candidacy for the upcoming convention of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The executive committee meeting has decided that the 36th convention of the association will be held on Bhadra 20 and 21.

As the date of the convention has been set, Gautam has put herself forward as a candidate for president. She has been elected as a member of various sub-committees, a member of the executive committee, deputy general secretary, and currently as general secretary. So far, no woman has reached the leadership of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She claimed that she would create a new history.

'To date, in the history of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, no woman has had the opportunity to hold the responsibility of president,' she says, 'Therefore, my candidacy is not just a personal ambition but a campaign of collective belief in experience, capability, inclusive leadership, and positive change.'

Gautam has stated that she is fully committed to developing the association as a more empowered, inclusive, business-friendly, and future-oriented organization.
