Ten Intermediaries Arrested for Defrauding Patients at BP Koirala Health Sciences Institute

Sunsari. Police have taken 10 intermediaries into custody for luring and defrauding patients coming for treatment at BP Koirala Health Sciences Institute in Dharan. They were arrested based on information that they were involved in illegal commission dealings by promising to arrange medicines at a cheaper price from various private medical stores. A police team jointly deployed from the Area Police Office, Dharan and the Temporary Police Post, Ghopa, apprehended them red-handed on Jestha 23rd in front of the emergency building of the institute. Among those arrested are 37-year-old Ranjit Kumar Chaudhary from Agnisair Krishnasavaran Rural Municipality-3, Saptari, and 27-year-old Rabina Mandal from Rajbiraj Municipality-6. Similarly, 35-year-old Hasta Shrestha from Amachok Rural Municipality-8, Bhojpur, 20-year-old Sagar Pokharel from Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-15, Sunsari, and 29-year-old Sanbin Kirati from Letang Municipality-3, Morang, have also been arrested. Other arrested individuals include 23-year-old Manish Budhathoki from Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-6, Sunsari, 40-year-old Umesh Kumar Chaudhary from Chaudandigadhi Municipality-5, Udaypur, 35-year-old Dhiroj Niroula from Dharan-17, 31-year-old Rohit Mehta from Inaruwa Municipality-2, and 18-year-old Binod Bhattarai from Dharan-11. All those arrested are being held at the Area Police Office, Dharan, for further investigation, informed Chandra Bahadur Khadka, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Sunsari.
