Various Highways Blocked Due to Continuous Rain and Landslides Across the Country

Kathmandu. Various major highways have been obstructed due to continuous rain and landslides across the country. According to the details until 8:30 AM, some road sections in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces have been completely closed.

In Koshi Province, the Mechi Highway at Rajduwali in Ilam is completely obstructed due to continuous rain, while the Mid-Hill Highway in Bokhim, Bhojpur, is affected by floods, but one-way traffic has now been resumed there. 

In Bagmati Province, vehicle operation has been stopped on the Khurkot-Nepalethok section of the BP Highway due to the possibility of floods. In the Indrasarovar area of Makwanpur, the Kulekhani-Phakhel-Pharping road section will be completely closed until the 25th of this month due to road repair work. Similarly, the Kanti Lokpath is also blocked due to a landslide in Pandur, Lalitpur.

In Gandaki Province, the Beni-Jomsom road section is completely obstructed due to landslides at two places, Baisari and Ghumaine Bhir, in Myagdi district.

In Karnali Province, the road in the Bheri Corridor in Rukum West has also been obstructed due to floods.
