Five Arrested in Rautahat for Rape and Attempted Rape

Rautahat. Five people have been arrested on charges of involvement in a rape and attempted rape incident at a hotel in Ward No. 2 of Gaur Municipality, Rautahat. Police arrested them from the hotel premises around 1:00 AM on June 21, 2083, based on information provided by the victim. Among those arrested are one local Nepali and four Indian citizens. According to the police, the arrested include Santosh Raut, 25, residing in Ward No. 2 of Gaur Municipality, Rautahat. The arrested Indian citizens include Md. Tajuddin, 33, residing in Kalyani Panchayat 24, Muzaffarpur district, India; Jitendra Kumar, 37, residing in Mailarvan Panchayat 2 of the same district; Hasnain Alam, 38, residing in Bakhtapur Panchayat 1; and Alok Kumar, 34, residing in Gram Panchayat 4. The preliminary conclusion of the police is that all five were involved in the incident. Police have stated that all five arrested individuals have been taken into custody and further investigation into the incident is underway.
