NPL Player Auction Sees Key Signings: Asif Sheikh and Vivek Kumar Yadav Acquired

Kathmandu. In the player auction for the upcoming edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) held in the capital on Monday, various teams have been signing some important players to their teams.

In this sequence, national team wicketkeeper batter Asif Sheikh and young all-rounder Vivek Kumar Yadav have also been associated with two different teams.

Asif Sheikh, who previously captained Janakpur and has been performing excellently in the national team, has been bought by Lumbini Lions at the highest price ever. After being released by the previous team this season, he attracted high bids at the auction.

Similarly, there was competition between four franchise teams to include another famous player, Vivek Kumar Yadav, in their team.

All four teams bid the maximum limit of fifteen lakh rupees on him. After equal bids, Chitwan Rhinos proved lucky in the draw and succeeded in bringing Vivek into their team.
