Nepal Premier League Player Auction Begins

Kathmandu. The third edition of the Siddharth Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) player auction started in the capital on Monday. CAN has divided the 155 players who made it to the final selection into three categories for the auction. Category 'A' has 5, 'B' has 27, and 'C' has 123 players. Through the auction, various franchise teams will sign 52 players. 347 players had registered for this year's auction. From them, a final list of 155 players has been prepared. From the third edition of NPL, a provision has been implemented to add two Nepali players to each franchise team. Including players selected through marquee and talent hunt, each team will now have 14 Nepali players. Representatives from all eight franchise teams are participating in the ongoing auction in the capital. They are selecting players according to their strategy.
