Prime Minister Balendra Shah Led Government Publishes 100-Day Achievements

Kathmandu. The government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah today made public the main achievements of its 100-day tenure. Government Spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel made these achievements public today through a press conference at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

The first point made public by Minister Pokharel includes the issue of reducing the number of federal ministries. As mentioned in the election manifesto of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the number of ministries has been reduced to 18, Spokesperson Pokharel said. He stated that with the reduction in the number of ministries, it is estimated that approximately Rs 20 billion will be saved annually in the state treasury.

Similarly, he stated that by reducing expenses and increasing efficiency through the abolition and adjustment of other structures, reformist actions including the abolition of political party-affiliated trade unions and student organizations have sent a positive message.
