Cooperative Bill Passed by Parliament

Kathmandu. The Cooperative (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 has been passed by the House of Representatives. The bill was passed by a majority after clause-wise discussion in the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, announced Speaker Dolprasad Aryal.  

In the meeting, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Pratibha Rawal responded to the questions and amendments raised by the MPs during the clause-wise discussion.  

This is a replacement bill for the ordinance brought by the government led by senior leader Balen Shah of the National Independent Party with a single majority.
