Newly Elected Central Members of Rastriya Swatantra Party Take Oath

Kathmandu. Newly elected central members of the ruling party Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have taken the oath of office and secrecy. Chairman Rabi Lamichhane administered the oath of office and secrecy to the central members at the central office, Ghantighar, on Wednesday. A chairman and 99 central members were elected from the first national convention held in Chitwan from Asar 7-12. According to the RSP's constitution, there is a provision for a 151-member central committee. Of these, 100 are elected and 51 are nominated by the chairman. In addition, the chairmen of the seven provinces will be ex-officio members. From the convention, 32 from open, 32 from inclusive, and five central members from each of the seven provinces were elected. Similarly, Rabi administered the oath to the two elected vice-chairmen, one general secretary, and three joint general secretaries. There is a provision for 19 office bearers in the RSP. Among them, senior leaders, one vice-chairman, one general secretary, two joint general secretaries, one spokesperson, three joint spokespersons, one treasurer, and two joint treasurers are yet to be nominated.
