Weather Forecast: Moderate Rain with Thunderstorms Expected in Major Cities

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for Tuesday, indicating a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in major cities throughout the day and night. The weather forecast bulletin suggests that the probability of rain across most parts of the country ranges from a minimum of 40 percent to a maximum of 60 percent. Specifically, Pokhara, Kathmandu, Dhankuta, Biratnagar, Dharan, Jiri, and Taplejung have a high probability of rain, up to 60 percent, during both day and night. In Dhangadhi, the probability of rain at night is estimated to reach 60 percent. While Okhaldhunga has a 40 percent chance of rain during the day, the probability increases to 60 percent at night. According to the weather forecast, temperatures will also vary across different cities today. Dipayal, Dhangadhi, and Nepalgunj are expected to be the hottest cities in the country today, with maximum temperatures potentially reaching 32 to 34 degrees Celsius. Similarly, the maximum temperature in Birendranagar, Ghorahi, Bhairahawa, and Simara will be around 30 to 32 degrees Celsius, while in Dharan and Janakpur, temperatures are estimated to reach 29 to 31 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in the federal capital Kathmandu will be between 27 to 29 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature will be between 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. The tourist city of Pokhara has a projected maximum temperature of 26 to 28 degrees Celsius. Cities in the Himalayan and high hilly regions will experience relatively cooler weather. Jomsom and Taplejung will be the coldest cities in the country today, with maximum temperatures reaching only 22 to 24 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Jomsom is estimated to drop to 14 to 16 degrees Celsius. Likewise, the maximum temperature in Jumla will be 25 to 27 degrees Celsius, and in Okhaldhunga, it will be 23 to 25 degrees Celsius. Data from the department shows that the maximum temperature in Dadeldhura and Jiri will be between 24 to 26 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists have advised the general public to take necessary precautions due to the possibility of rain with thunderstorms across the country.
